The United States is often referred to as a "melting pot." What does this phrase mean to you? Why do you think the United States works this way?

This phrase "The Melting Pot" is all of our cultures and ethnicity mixed into one. I think the United States works this way because there are so many people and different cultures that we just blend with each other.
