I need help with deciphering the meanings of four quotes for an essay I have to write for my finals. Here are the quotes, any help on what they mean would be highly appreciated. First Quote: Christopher Reeve: "I think a hero is an ordinary individual who finds strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles"

ok do you have to like write an essay on each of the quotes or like write a body paragraph about each quote?

no on the day of the test, we'll be given one of the four quotes at random to write about and each body paragraph has to be about one of the book/movies we learned about this marking period

Okay first quote meaning (to me) I would think they were saying that a hero is a ordinary guy who can become strong no matter what situation he is given......idk but that's how i see it

2nd quote i think means that you have a whole bunch of opportunities lined up for you but they may be in the most unexpected places and you must have quick thinking and sharp wits to thoroughly percieve your opportunites
