    but im not sure how to do the rest even tho I got lil to no help on some of it I wouldn't say lil to no help cause I did get some help but I don't understand it tho im dumb I guess

    well if you know that x=12+y , you substitute into the second equation, and put 12+y in place of x , so basically your second equation would be -> 12+y+y=-24 so you collect the terms and find y -> 12+2y=-24, try and see what you get for y
