A factory produces 90 packages of mixed nuts in 1 min. A quality control manager selected 8 of these 90 packages at random and then counted the number of nuts in each package. The manager recorded the results. 31, 31, 32, 33, 35, 35, 35, 36 What is the estimated median number of nuts in all 90 packages?

    I think it is 34, since we have four values: 35, 35, 35 and 36 greater than 34, and four values: 31, 31, 32, 33 less than 34

    no, since the median, by definition, is that value for which half observations will be less than the median and half will be greater
