The endosymbiotic theory provides an explanation for the origin of chloroplasts. Which trait of chloroplasts supports this explanation? Chloroplasts do not reproduce. Chloroplasts rely on proteins that are made by the cell. Chloroplasts are larger than prokaryotic cells. Chloroplasts have their own DNA.
