Binomials are polynomials with just 2 terms. So, they must all have x^#, where that # is positive. And they must have exactly two terms. So, D and E are our only answers.

a is not a polynomial because 3/x is not acceptable in a polynomial. b is a monomial, so not binomial. c and f are both trinomials, so not binomial D and E are binomials ALL are polynomials, except A.
