calculas need to know the basics before starting the chapter help

    well they usually start by teaching you the `limit definition of the derivative` Have you done some work with limits?

    It's not as nice and friendly as the derivative shortcuts that you learn later on, but that's usually where you start

    There is some great calculus resources on youtube and other places: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7K1sB05pE0A&list=PL590CCC2BC5AF3BC1 https://www.khanacademy.org/ Here is a nice set of calculus practice problems that I think are useful: https://www.math.ucdavis.edu/~kouba/ProblemsList.html It's hard to know what to suggest, not really sure where you are at :) maybe this is a good place to start: https://www.mathsisfun.com/calculus/introduction.html something like that.. i dunnooooo >.<
