A bag contains 50 marbles, 10 of which are blue, 8 are red, 20 are green, and 12 are purple. Marcie takes a marble out of the bag, records the color, and returns it to the bag. How many red marbles should she expect after 500 trials? 80 100 120 200

    No, it should be a fraction. \(\sf\large Probability ~of~ picking~ a ~red~ marble = \frac{Number~of~Red~marbles}{Number~of~total~marbles}\)

    ok we have that as: \(\sf\Large \frac{8}{50}\) Multiply that by 500

    8/50 is the probability of getting 1 red marble. So to find out for 500 marbles, we have to multiply by 500.
