What makes the tone different in these two pairs of lines from the excerpt? And finding she was left alone, Went tiptoe to the Telephone (second stanza) With Courage high and Hearts a-glow They galloped, roaring through the Town, (third stanza)

    Well the first grouping from the second stanza sounds more quiet and lonely based on the words left alone and tiptoe versus the second grouping that sounds more vibrant and loud based on the words galloped and roaring through.
