How are scientists able to determine what island male iguanas inhabit just by looking at them they are different sizes on different islands they have different sized snouts they have different color patterns<-- Marine iguanas are physically adapted to life in the ocean by all the following except flattened tails specialized gills<-- long claws blunt snout Why can't the marine iguanas spend long periods of time playing and feeding in the ocean water? they lose body temperature<-- they get too tired they are not very good swimmers they cannot withstand the salt
