    meaning are you adding/subtracting or multiplying/dividing between terms. and by what number?

    The pattern of the sequence is determining what they are doing to get the next number. Here, they are subtracting 5 each time so that's the pattern. Get the rest of the numbers, add them together and that's your answer.
