How did Christianity contribute to the fall of Axum and its economy? Axum had to isolate itself from the Islamic countries that surrounded it. Axum could not afford to pay tribute to Rome. Christianity was seen as too restrictive to trade. Christianity did not allow trade.

    well Christianity took over and cause Axum to as we say it " go out of style"
