    which line or lines will cut an E into 2 equal parts?

    a line of symmetry means you can fold it exactly onto itself... can you fold E to get 2 identical halves..?

    That's good point symmetry... so to do with every point on the shape being the same distance from a fixed point here is a nice definition and example http://www.mathsisfun.com/geometry/symmetry-point.html
