Under Executive Order 9066, the military could remove people considered a threat from their homes. was assigned to defend California from threats from the Pacific. rebuilt Pearl Harbor and Hawaii after the Japanese attack. began to fight with Allied forces in Japan.

    because the Japanese had did a surprise attack on pearl harbor and rumors went on about how the Japanese Americans knew about it, So the president signed the act to put them in internment camps (they were considered too loyal to their homeland)
