Medal and Fan...At a recent state theatre show, 510 tickets were sold. Students were charged 3.50 a ticket and non-students were charged 5.50 a ticket. If 2157.00 was collected at the box office, how many of each ticket type was sold?

    from the first equation write the expression for one of the variables. use this expression in the second equation. you will have one equation with one variable solve. use this value in the expression to get the value of the other variable.
