If two eukaryotes participate in lateral gene transfer what will this do to the overall genetic variation of the species? (1 point) Nothing, the genetic variation will stay the same. The genetic variation will decrease. The genetic variation will increase. This type of gene transfer is impossible in eukaryotes. I am leaning toward A, but I'm not entirely sure. Can someone help me out?

The number of phenotypes produced for a given trait depends on a. The number of genes that control the trait. b. Which form of the trait is dominant c. The allele frequencies of the various alleles d. The relationship of allele frequencies to Mendelian ratios. I definitely don't think it's D. Or B. My guess is either A or C.
