Which of the following would eliminate the variable on the left side of the given equation? 36 - 19w = -6w + 41

    You would add -19w to both sides to get it on one side.

    then you get 36 by itself on the left side

    To finish simplifying the equation you would then isolate the variable by subtracting 41 from both sides and dividing both sides by 13 (since you added 19w to -6w it becomes 13w)
