## More answers

- bobobox

16x

- anonymous

hmm no
\[(4x)^2=4x\times 4x\] which is not \(16x\)

- bobobox

this is hard Can you explain to me why? @TheSmartOne

- anonymous

4x times 4x = 4x^2
you forgot to multiply the variables

- anonymous

I MEAN 16x^2 sorry

- bobobox

okay, so would it be |dw:1435630935368:dw|

- bobobox

then which answer would it be? I think its d

- anonymous

no

- bobobox

c?

- anonymous

when multiplying fractions you multiply the denominators
4x/y * 4x/y = 16x^2/y^2

- bobobox

oh yes thats right you cant just multiply the numerator @090909090909

- bobobox

So c right? could you possibly help me with the next?

- anonymous

yah. try the next ones first though and I'll check them

- bobobox

okay! one sec

yis

- bobobox

could i have you check the next?

- anonymous

yeah I can check them all

- anonymous

looks like they had some trouble with the font size when they made up these questions `

- bobobox

yeah

- anonymous

@090909090909 says your answer is right

- bobobox

yay

- bobobox

i dont know how to do this one

- anonymous

@090909090909 ?

- bobobox

See it's a strange one

- bobobox

@090909090909

- anonymous

\[\huge \frac{16s^2t}{8st^2}\] is what they want you to compute

- bobobox

okay let me take a crack at it

- bobobox

I think the answer is c

- anonymous

yes, it is usually C
it is in that case too

- bobobox

I hope so because if I don't get these right I might not graduate! one more question to check

Please check my answer @TheSmartOne

- TheSmartOne

wrong

- TheSmartOne

\(\sf\Large\frac{a^b}{a^c}=a^{b-c}\)

- anonymous

hmmmm

- anonymous

this is not easy to answer for sure

- bobobox

whaaaaaat

- anonymous

i would say 3 also

- TheSmartOne

it's -3

- bobobox

Are you sure?

- anonymous

depends on your definition of "simplified form" which is why this is such a dangerous word to use

- bobobox

I'm not exactly sure what their definition is

- anonymous

in the previous questions, "simplify" meant "write using positive exponents only"

- bobobox

I just used a dividing monomials calculator and it said 3

- TheSmartOne

\(\sf\Huge \frac{27x^2z}{-3x^2z^4}=-9z^{-3}\)

- anonymous

of course you aren't sure, there is no such mathematical operation as "simplify"
it is the lazy math teachers way of saying "give me the answer i want"

- bobobox

let me retry it once more

- anonymous

and \[-9z^{-3}=\frac{9}{z^3}\] so what is "simpler"?

- TheSmartOne

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Satellite, I guess another good example for your dissertation of horrible questions made by taechers :p

- anonymous

ok actually it is \(-\frac{9}{z^3}\) but youi get the idea

- anonymous

yes, this goes right in to the "bad math" pile

- anonymous

i would go with 3 with the understanding that it is just a guess

- bobobox

I got -3

- bobobox

what the heck

- bobobox

im going with 3

- anonymous

who wrote the question?

- bobobox

im not sure which company but i got a one hundred!!!!! If I open a new question can you amazing folks help me out as great as you have right now?

- anonymous

on line school?

- bobobox

Yup

- anonymous

it has to say somewhere where the questions come from

- bobobox

it doesn't say it's becuase they don't wan their student looking up cheats
