$f(x)=4x^2-1=4(x-0)^2-1 \rightarrow axis \space is \space x=0\\g(x)=x^2 − 8x + 5=(x-4)^2-16+5 \rightarrow axis \space is \space x=4\\h(x)= –3x^2 − 12x + 1=-3(x^2+4x)+1=-3((x+2)^2-4)+1 \rightarrow axis \space is \space x=-2$
