    Okay, there's several ways to do this but for this case we'll go for the straight forward way of solving a 3x3 determinant.

    The determinant of the matrix will be : a1 * a5 * a9 + a4 * a8 * a3 + a2 * a6 * a7 - (a3 * a5 * a7 + a6 * a8 * a1 + a2 * a4 * a9)

    Yeah, I think it's best if you figure it out on your own, but that is the formula. Be very careful about the signs though.
