A solution is a homogeneous mixture w two or more substances. in this mixture, a solute is dissolved in another substance, called your solvent. examples are a solid, such as salt or sugar, dissolved in water, a liquid. a mixture results from combining two or more different materials w no chem reaction happening. Mixtures are the result of a mechanical blending or mixing of chemical substances like elements and compounds, without chemical bonding or other chemical change, so that each component retains its own chemical properties/makeup.
