What was one reason that Patriots were more willing to go to war with Britain than the Loyalists?

    One reason why was because Patriots were more likely than Loyalists to believe in the idea of consent of the governed.

    Eh, the terms "Patriot" and "Loyalist" should give you some idea. Loyalists are people who are loyal to the British Monarchy, patriots, being on the opposite side, were loyal to the US.
