Read this excerpt from “The Bear.” He is in his grave, and I have buried myself between four walls. . . We are both dead. What is revealed about character in this quote? Popova is in mourning for her husband, she feels dead. Popova is mourning her husband and excluded herself from the living to be with her husband in spirit. Popova is buried in the wall of the house, they will both be dead soon. Popova intends to stay with her husband by never leaving the house.
