I am from Russia, and there we always used to make a joke about 3 parameters.
1) High - quality
2) Fast
3) Cheap
And the fun part is that you can choose any 2, and that will always disable the 3rd parameter.

- SolomonZelman

If it is high-quality and fast (for example), it will be expensive for sure.
If it is fast and cheap, then I don't guarantee a good quality.

- SolomonZelman

and so will be about cheap and good quality, it will be very slow.

- anonymous

that sound fun @SolomonZelman ..cool how is Russia like actually ive benn thinking to move into the country when i ge older....that sound bout right thanks! ive hard of this site but have never ben to it (mathpapa)? im trying to get a reasonable site but i will maye say on here but will spend more time on findin other sites

whats ur age and which grade are u in

- anonymous

why 6th almost in 7th

- anonymous

because the average 7th grader will be out of place at say http://math.stackexchange.com/

- mathmath333

this site should be ideal for u then

- SolomonZelman

Well, I have only lived in Moscow for first 12 years (yet Russian is always going to be my #1 lang.). You can get your wallet stolen like in any other large industrialized city....
It has been cleaned off dirt lately, and many reporters (even American reporters) reported it is nice there. Being factual, because of sanctions that US and Europe imposed on Russia tourism in Russia fell, but Putin has found a way to get back by making a huge (kinda) worldwide business association....

- SolomonZelman

I won't spill it all.... I would be typing 24-7

- anonymous

lol ok .that sounds nice ..yeah iderstand wit the wallet stolen an stuff it happens anywhere ....jenny1994 have you been to that site you showed me? is it better than this s site ?

- SolomonZelman

cu, it was nice takin 2 u all.....

- anonymous

every site has its own purpose. stackexchange has its uses. openstudy has its uses.
openstudy is fine for you.
if you don't like it, brainly might be more up your alley.

- anonymous

ok thx il check it out

- SolomonZelman

stackexchange is very advanced, as far as I can see. There are many different questions like about Taylor series and all that calc stuff...

- mathmath333

this is ur first question on openstudy

- SolomonZelman

this is the first question i answered. (put semi colon after question)

- anonymous

no n really ..i have other accounts like ..jeez i have over 8 cause this site acts stupid

- anonymous

yeah, that was my point. every site is a tool. you don't hammer a screw in.
obviously SE isn't for her
Just saying, she needs to find her niche

- anonymous

The area of each squares on the bottom is \(\large\color{black}{ \displaystyle \color{blue}{2\times 2} }\)
and since there are two squares, we multiply this
by two, so the area of what I wrote in blue is
\(\large\color{black}{ \displaystyle \color{blue}{2\times 2 \times 2=8} }\)
`-----------------------------------------------`
The area of what I wrote in green is
\(\large\color{black}{ \displaystyle \color{green}{2\times 6=12} }\)
(Where did I get 6 from?
Because the entire length is 2+2+2, and that is 6)
`-----------------------------------------------`
The area of the triangle that I wrote in red is
\(\large\color{black}{ \displaystyle \color{red}{\frac{3\times 7}{2}} }\)
(because it is like a rectangle, we multiply 3 × 7, but
since it is only a half of a full rectange, we divide the
result by two, that is why when we multiply 3 × 7, we
also divide the result by 2, hence we get what I wrote
above in red.)
\(\large\color{black}{ \displaystyle \color{red}{\frac{3\times 7}{2}=\frac{21}{2}} }\)
`-----------------------------------------------`
Now, the total area of the entire shape is \(\color{red}{\rm red}\), \(\color{green}{\rm green}\), and \(\color{blue}{\rm blue}\)
added together, so lets add everything.
The total area is going to be (where \(\rm A\) stands for "Area"):
\(\large\color{black}{ \displaystyle {\rm A}=\color{blue}{\bf 8}+\color{green}{\bf 12}+\color{red}{\bf\frac{21}{2}} }\) (on you to understand & caclulate)

- SolomonZelman

oh, my error

- SolomonZelman

the triangle is 3 by 6.
