The solution to the problem was considered ingenious. No one else had been clever enough to figure it out. In the sentence above, which of the following strategies would be most effective to determine the meaning of "ingenious"?

    One strategy would be to look at the sentence as a whole and seeing how ingenious is used. Another strategy would be to look at the word and look for the based word. In this case it would be genious or genius, with the prefix -in meaning not.
