There is no solution for the absolute value inequality |5x+2| < -8 True or false? Please help! Just wanting to check my answer. There is a line under <

    yeah thats right, theres no way |5x+2| will ever be less than a negative value

    that shaded region would be a solution to |5x+2| < 2 but u see that shaded part can never exist for |5x+2| < -8 as that |5x+2| never goes under the -8 line
