genetic engineering in which genetic manipulation is done ... *it helps in medical sciences...e.g using bacterial machinary n plasmid as vector ,incorporation of insulin gene ,producing insulin/inserting its gene to replace the defective,etc *as our population is growing we need more food so to increase the quantity we add growth hormones genes... to get better quantity selective breeding is done so good genes transfered to the offsprings *also help to prevent extinction of endandered species by cloning the left ones
Environmental: Well i picture it like the Indominus Rex form Jurassic World genetic engineering. All the old cows are going to go missing, making for another extinct animal. Causing a loss of genetic diversity, which ultimately reduce the species overall survival odds. Which brings us back to Charles Darwin and Natural Selection.

the variety in a gene pool gets small through selective breeding
so it disturbs the biodiversity in nature..but on other hand genetic engineering helps in economy of human population as the GMO genetically modified organisms have desired genes ..like resistant to diseases,gud growth etc but consumption of GMOs by human hv a bad effect on health as some hormones production increased by unknown allergens
