    Notice that none of them have the `OR EQUAL TO` on the inequalities? So the point x=2 and x=4 are NOT INCLUDED in the domain.

    we have everything less than 2 covered, everything greater than 4 is also included, and that last piece gives us the stuff between 2 and 4, but not including then points 2 and 4. mmm ya that sounds right! :)
