@satellite73 C?

3. amoodarya

$\sqrt{1-\sin^2 (\theta)}=\pm \cos (\theta)\\if =\cos (\theta)\\cos(\theta) \geq 0$

4. amoodarya

can you go on ?

5. vera_ewing

I'm confused...

6. anonymous

of course you are this question is ill posed

7. anonymous

someone who is deficient in the logic department wrote it this one goes right in to the "bad math" pile. what is true is that $\sqrt{1-\sin^2(x)}=\cos(x)$ if $$\cos(x)\geq 0$$

8. anonymous

cosine is positive in quadrant 1 and 4

Oh right, I keep thinking Quadrant 3 is positive. So the answer is B?

11. anonymous

yes B
