can someone please help me with this question? The claim is the same as the counterclaim the starting point of an argument opposition to an argument the conclusion of an argument

    the claim is what side you are taking in an argument. its normally in the beginning of the statement and your reasons come after.

    Basically I would call it a Hypothesis, something to be tested to determine its truth.
