## anonymous one year ago A cylinder has a radius of 5 cm and a height of 12 cm. What is the volume of the cylinder? @egbeach

1. anonymous

the formula to find the volume of a cylinder is $\Pi r ^{2}h$ so just plug in the numbers to solve

2. anonymous

A. 60π cm^3 B. 300π cm^3 C. 720π cm^3 D. 1200π cm^3

3. anonymous

$5^{2}\times12\Pi$

4. anonymous

942.48cm³ this is the answer is got but doesn't seem to be an answer choice.

5. anonymous

I*

6. princeharryyy

Volume of cylinder = pie * r * r * h

7. anonymous

i got an diffferent answer... 25X12 is what?

8. anonymous

300

9. princeharryyy

300*3.14 = 942

10. anonymous

but it's not one of the answer choices

11. princeharryyy

it's correct @pinkbubbles it is 942

12. anonymous

300 is but not 942

13. anonymous

the answers are in the form of pi. dont mulitply the pi out into your answer. 25x12=300. 300pi will be the answer

14. princeharryyy

then they would have written 300*pie

15. anonymous

Okay Thank You! @egbeach and @princeharryyy

16. anonymous

they did... look at choice B

17. princeharryyy

and wouldn't have actually mutiplied by the value of pie in the expression though both of the answers are right
