I started in my junior year and I did pretty well on the ACT. Most people I know start junior year, but I do know a few sophomores that already took it. It all depends on how well you want to do and how much time you are dedicating to prepping for it.

Because I recommend to take your ACT JR year they will train you on how to do it before you are taking it. when they know that you are taking it to help you get ready but as I've learned is that there is no real way to " prepare for the ACT " Just take the test remember what you've been told and just do the best you can.
