Wait, I just saw that 4 down there so... \[15^{2}+14^{2}=c ^{2}\]
anonymous
  • anonymous
@nananea1998 do you know how to do that?
anonymous
  • anonymous
that would mean 29^2 right? cuz 15+14=29 and its squared

\[225+196=c ^{2}\] \[\sqrt{c}=\sqrt{429}\] \[c=20.51\]
anonymous
  • anonymous
15^2 is 225 and 14^2 is 196 so you add those two together and take the square root when you find the sum

Do you see what I did and how I got there?

@ANA789 Yes

Okay so do you have answer choices?
anonymous

A. 50 units B. 45 units C. 40 units D. 21 units So it'd be D. 21 because it rounds it up?
anonymous
  • anonymous
@ANA789
anonymous
  • anonymous
Does the question say to round it up or does it want an exact value?
anonymous
  • anonymous
@ANA789 It doesn't say to round it up but I don't have an answer choice that has a decimal at all
anonymous
  • anonymous
Your answer is going to be 50 units because when you round up 20.51, it goes to 21, therefore 21+14+15=50 units

@ANA789 Oh okay ^^ Thank you!!
