    first 5 will multply with x and then -6 you will get 5x - 30

    Distribute the 5 by multiplying it to what is inside of the parenthesis. Take the signs into consideration (-6).

    You use the distributive property: 5x-30 Multiply both numbers or variables by 5 or the number outside the parentheses.
