What is the discontinuity of the function f(x) = the quantity of x squared minus 3 x minus 28, all over x plus 4?

    x+4 happens to be a factor of the numerator

    looking at the denominator the discontinuity is that value that makes x + 4 = 0 then given you can factor out the discontinuity, it means its a point of discontinuity and not a vertical asymptote...

    by factoring I mean \[\frac{x^2 - 3x -28}{x + 4} = \frac{(x +4)(x -7)}{(x + 4)}\]
