Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0i got it here The sum of two numbers is 18. The larger is 2 less than 4 times the smaller. Find the number. S + L = 18 L = 4S 2 S + L = 18 S + 4S 2 = 18 5S 2 + 2 = 18 + 2 5S = 20 5S/5 = 20/5 S = 4 << Smaller number L = 4S 2 L = 4*4 2 L = 16 2 = 14 << Larger number
