    To get Asia the same, multiply the denominator and the numerator both by 4.\[\frac{ 3 }{ 5 }*\frac{ 4 }{ 4 }=\frac{ 12 }{ 20 }\] Next, add the population of Asia and America together. \[\frac{ 12 }{ 20 }+\frac{ 1 }{ 20 }=\frac{ 13 }{ 20 }\] That is your final answer. 13/20 of the world's population lives in North America and Asia.
