    - The amount of DNA which needs to be replicated and separated. - The number of chromosomes (If there are more chromosomes, it will take longer for them all to line up during metaphase) - The size of the cells and the size of the nucleus These can all increase the rate of mitosis.

    so that means if there are less chromosomes then mitosis will be faster?

    Yes if there are less chromosomes it takes them less time to line up in the metaphase section

    If the section of DNA needing to replicated is small then it will get replicated faster than a section of DNA that is longer

    Yes smaller is faster as it's easier to replicate
