I think the U.S. wouldn't take control of other countries if it had the power because there are more people now then there were back then and that would mean more people would probably die and houses would be destroyed. They shouldn't because they would lose population and they would be over run by to many people. Hope this helps

Although you have already determined what you think, I want to add my opinion. I think it depends on the circumstance of the country. If a country with the power of the U.S.A went into and took over a country like France or England, yes that would be a negative thing. but lets say the U.S.A saw a country like Afghanistan, that was ruled by a dictator or a terrorist organization, that was killing their own people and committing crimes against humanity, I do not believe that if the U.S went in and took over that it would be a bad thing, in fact I believe it would be a positive thing.
