I think it is D. I'm not certain yet

- UsukiDoll

@Ashtaroth did you graph y = -2 and y=x^2-2x-1 on paper or a microsoft paint program?

- anonymous

No, sorry i was getting breakfast

- UsukiDoll

hmm... well y = -2 is a horizontal line and we can agree at that right? ^^

- anonymous

Yeah.

- UsukiDoll

so all we need to so is to graph y = x^2-2x-1

- anonymous

The first one is A the second one is C and the last one is D. I've already picked B and it was wrong so i didn't bother publishing it.

- UsukiDoll

well that means we need to pick points. let x = 0,1,2, lalalalal but it's getting late so I'll just use desmos

Okay

I think It's D.

- UsukiDoll

I think the picture choices for c and d are the same : O

Alright let me check

@UsukiDoll

- UsukiDoll

k that's better.. it's really not the new c.

- anonymous

Alright, it isn't A is it? Looks a bit off.

- UsukiDoll

not that one either.

- anonymous

So It's D. I got B wrong when i picked it.

- UsukiDoll

it's best to graph these equations on a piece of paper or some computer software before choosing... guessing isn't a good method.

- anonymous

Thing is i'm not good at it.

- UsukiDoll

you have to understand the material and practice a lot. I used to fail miserably at Math and intentionally failed the COMPASS portion many years back, but with a few good mentors who can explain the topics well enough and with practice you'll be able to do any math problem :).

Thanks.
