    NaOH --> Na+ + OH- HBr --> Br- + H+ weak acids and bases do not dissociate. This makes the strong acids and bases act like ionic compounds in terms of electric conductivity. The mobile ions are able to transfer the charges from the cathode to the anode. Strong acids dissociate more, produce more ions so they would be able to conduct electricity as well. Also strong acids ionize well in water.

    because there are two things you need to consider: the STRENGTH of the acid, and the concentration of the acid.

    the concentration of say H+ can vary but the overall strength of an acidic compound is determined by the pKa
