Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0A? CAN YOU EXPLAIN WHY?

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0If a line is drawn through y = 1, you can plot any points on x but the y point will always be a 1. This makes a straight, horizontal line. The change in y is 0 since y is always 1 and 11 = 0. Any fraction with a 0 in the numerator = 0, no matter what number is on the bottom, right? So if there is no change in the rise, the line is horizontal.

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Wow, you can also think of it as whenever a line is equal to x its vertical. and whenever it is equal to y its horizontal?

anonymous

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Okay, well we know that the line X=4 is vertical, but...the line y=4 is not horizontal. For a line to be parallel to the line x=4 it needs to follow the format x= ???
