you can multiply first fraction by a/a and multiply second fraction by b/b and that way you will have the same denominator

    \[\frac{3a}{bc} \cdot \frac{a}{a}=\frac{3a(a)}{bc(a)}=\frac{?}{abc} \\ \frac{2b}{ac} \cdot \frac{b}{b} =\frac{2b(b)}{ac(b)}=\frac{?}{abc}\] but you should have a plus between the two numerator terms

    and yes 3a(a)=3a^2 and yes 2b(b)=2b^2 \[\frac{3a}{bc}+\frac{2b}{ac} \\ \frac{3a(a)}{bc(a)}+\frac{2b(b)}{ac(b)} \\ \frac{3a^2}{abc}+\frac{2b^2}{abc} \\ \frac{3a^2+2b^2}{abc}\]
