    ok well inverse operations is used to isolate x or in other words get x by itself on one side of the equation to find out what it equals

    so we need to move 12 since its on the same side of x so since it is positive ( + 12) we need to subtract it from both sides

    so the equation will look like 6x = -30

    ok well lets finish the equation you would then divide by 6 since its originally multiplying by x so you get x = -5
