I did 8^2+b^2=13^2 and got 10.24 then did A=L*W=(8)(8)=64 sooo V=1/3(64)(10.24) and came out with 218.45
thats what i got too
yeha i don't know how other way to go at this
this is confusing
what are we doing wrong?
you need to find the height of pyramid using pythagoras theorem on the right angled triangle
@welshfella i thought i did that and got 1024? no?
ya. i got 10.24
You used the entire side length as one side of the triangle. Should be half of the side length
oh ya, you cut it in half
h = sqrt(13^2 - 4^2)
h = 12.37
volume = (1/3) * area of base * height
yea thats right
aaaah okay thanks everyone!!
