    Is it 3 or 4? Because it's a product and I read that that makes it 3 not 4

    it's not 3 or 4 to find the degree, add the exponents together

    if we have multiple terms added or subtracted, then yes, it would be the highest degree but we only have one term here, so we add the exponents together
