What is the purpose of the prop-oxide ion in the following reaction. (Added as attachment) will medal and fan* I thought This was sn1 because prOH is polar and protic. Also there's a secondary substrate. Why would this be sn2? How can SN2 reaction happen in a polar protic solvent?
