It is time to practice using metaphors in your writing. Choose one of the topics below and write a 300 word story. Use at least 10 metaphors in the story to describe the topic. If you choose "house" for example, you should use at least 10 metaphors throughout the story to describe the house. You will be graded based on the proper use of metaphors and for the creativity and overall quality of the story. A House A friend An enemy A place The night Spend at least one hour on your description. In other words, please do quality writing on this. If you want to do this in poetry form and have experience writing poetry, you may do so. If you feel stuck, try beginning this exercise by asking yourself to complete the sentence, “My house is a…” Also, you can cluster for metaphors, too. That is why we have been using this technique. If clustering doesn’t work for you, try something else. Just don’t give up! For the adventurous, we recommend this web site for more learning about metaphors:

Ok so you picked a house as the topic. Now write a 300 word story using at least 10 metaphors to explain the topic. You will be graded on the correct use of metaphors, creativity, and the overall quality of your story.
