## anonymous one year ago Which of the following lines is parallel to x = 7?

1. anonymous

I'll help! Where are the lines?

2. anonymous

Thx 3y = 7 y = 7 x = y x = 4

3. anonymous

hm..... okay.... so we know that parallel lines have to have the same slope, correct?

4. anonymous

yas

5. anonymous

x=5

6. anonymous

x=4

Sry @hendirkvbr but that isn't an answer choice

9. anonymous

yes that's what i meant :p

okay... well.. this line has an undefined slope, sine if we plug in to points, the slope's denominator is 0, making it undefined.... so its a vertical line. x=4 is also a vertical line. So your parallel line is x=4 :)

11. anonymous

doesn't matter because your slope is the same if it is 4 or 5 u know

always remind y=ax+b where a is your slope which tells you more about how your function increases decreases or stays a constant

Ok thx
