    Well I think A is the slowest to travel through since it's the biggest out of all of them.

    As the earthe goes away from the Sun, the gravity of the sun is pulling it back. As it falls towards the sun it speeds up. |dw:1437267626895:dw|

    If I recall, that is the basics. However, the oribital path is really very close to a circle so the changes is really not much.
